What is Foreign Direct Investment (FDI)?

Foreign direct investment refers to a foreigner’s acquisition of stocks/ownership of a Korean company with purpose of participating in management, following the below criteria:

Investment ratio: greater than 10% (total voting stocks issued divided by total capital / contribution amount)

Minimum investment amount: KRW 100,000,000
